🌍 Our Wonderful World and Holidays ✈️
This week at preschool, we’ve been exploring Our Wonderful World and Holidays through lots of exciting activities!
🎶 We sang Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Spanish, learning new words while moving our bodies.
🏙️ We talked about how different countries around the world look and how their buildings are made. Then, we used magnets to create our own models of these places.
🍭 The children made colourful lollipops using a mix of sensory materials like glitter, pom poms, and paint sticks.
🛫 We went on our own adventure by roleplaying at the airport! Some lucky children “flew” to Turkey. We looked at pictures of passports and boarding passes and watched a video to see and hear what an aeroplane sounds like when it takes off.
🌐 During circle time, we learned how to say hello in different languages and talked about the many languages spoken around the world.
🎵 We explored musical instruments and enjoyed a sensory music session outside, clapping, tapping, and shaking along to the beat.
📚 Our story times included “Sharing a Shell,” “Welcome to Our World” by Moira Butterfield, and “Whoever You Are” by Mem Fox.
🎨 During craft time, we created beautiful pictures of Earth, celebrating the wonderful world we live in.
