This week at Pre-School the Bumbles class have been learning about 'Autumn'.
We have been looking at pictures of our outside environment during all four of our seasons, and talking about the changes and the differences we could see. We enjoyed getting messy and finger painting our own autumn trees discussing the different colours we could use. We investigated the trees outside too, collecting fallen leaves in our buckets and bringing them inside to take a closer look under the magnifying glasses!
The Honeys class too have been exploring all things autumn which included searching for and collecting leaves, using them to make their own collages! Daddy long legs have been in abundance outside in our shed this week, the children have enjoyed getting up close to them, carefully catching them and viewing them in the giant bug finder!
They have enjoyed sharing the story 'Goldilocks and the three bears' during circle time together, with the children creating some fantastic bear masks. Messy play included exploring sawdust in the tuff tray, using the large diggers to make tracks.
On Thursday we welcomed Farmer Laura back to Pre-School with her fabulous Moo Music sessions with both classes participating. We enjoyed learning some new songs, using the parachute and lots of bubbles!
The colour and shape we will be exploring next week are green and circle.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you all again next week!
