Weekly roundup - 19 September 2025

πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈWe’ve reached the end of another fantastic week, and it has been such a pleasure to spend time in both the Honey's and Bumble's rooms, talking to children and watching them explore with courage and confidence. Arts and sensory activities are especially popular at the moment! As a gentle reminder, please avoid sending children in their best clothes. While aprons are always encouraged, some children prefer not to wear them, and we don’t want this to get in the way of their creative experience.

It has also been lovely to see special relationships forming between children and their keyworkers πŸ’•. The children are settling beautifully, beginning to follow our routines and golden rules ⭐, and even encouraging their friends along the way - which is so heart warming to watch.

Learning through play πŸ§Έβœ¨

At Springfield Bees, we believe that play is the foundation of all early learning. Through play, children develop important skills such as problem-solving, communication, creativity, and cooperation. Whether they are building with blocks, engaging in role play, exploring the outdoors, or experimenting with art and sensory materials, play helps children make sense of the world around them. It also allows them to follow their interests, build confidence, and develop independence, while nurturing social and emotional growth.
