🐄 Farm Animals and Their Babies

We've been learning all about farm animals and their little ones. From lambs to chicks, the children have been asking great questions and showing real curiosity about how animals grow.

🐛 Watching Caterpillars Grow

We are now proud caretakers of real caterpillars! Over the coming weeks, we’ll watch them transform into beautiful butterflies. Both the Bumbles and Honeys groups will be voting on names—we can’t wait to hear their ideas and will share these with you.

✏️ School Readiness

This week we focused on mark making and recognising our names—important steps in getting ready for school. The children have been proud to spot their names and make their marks with crayons, pencils, and paint!

🩺👷‍♂️ Role Play Adventures

Our doctors and builders have been hard at work! Role play has been buzzing with creativity as children teamed up to build hospitals, construction sites, and even farmyards. They’ve shown wonderful imagination and cooperation.

🌈 Outdoor Colour Sorting

Outside, the children enjoyed colour sorting using large blocks and grabbers. This activity builds gross motor skills, turn-taking, and following instructions—plus it’s lots of fun!

🎶 Bee Boogie Bonanza

Our Bee Boogie Bonanza had us dancing and singing to farm-themed songs! Music time is always a highlight—building rhythm, confidence, and bringing out big smiles!

🎭 Talent Show Time

The theatre returned this week, and the children loved taking turns in their own talent show! We saw singing, dancing, jokes, and even magic tricks. Everyone cheered each other on and showed amazing confidence!

☀️ Sun Hats Reminder

As the sunny days arrive, please make sure your child has a named hat that stays in their tray at preschool. This helps keep everyone safe and comfortable while we play outside!

🐝 Interest Basket

Next week is Bee Week! Our interest basket will be filled with items linked to bees or the colour yellow 🟡 (our colour of the week!). If your child would like to bring in something special to share, we’d love to see it.
