Weekly round Up - 3 December 21

The first week of December has proved a very festive one at Springfield Bees! Both the Bumbles and Honeys classes have been busy decorating their class Christmas trees, putting up lights and hanging decorations! We've had some very festive music playing and we've even been visited by a cheeky Christmas elf! Both classes have been working like busy little bees, creating some very special Christmas treats to take home over the next couple of weeks.

This week we also celebrated the Jewish festival, Hanukkah, which is celebrated for 8 days. The children made craft Menorahs (lamps) to mark the celebration and the Honeys class even had a go at making them from playdough, and using real candles to represent the light.

The children made Rugelach pastries during their cooking sessions this week. Rugelach is a traditional Jewish sweet dish, it is a light and crispy pastry with a sweet cinnamon filling. The children had lots of fun making these and the smell of cinnamon made us all feel even more festive!

Moo Music defiantly had a Christmas feel too, with Farmer Laura turning into Reindeer Laura! The children had fun with their shopping bags searching for the Christmas items on their lists!

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again next week for even more festive fun! Our colour and shape for next week is silver and triangle.
