Weekly Round Up - 10 December 21

It's been another week full of festive fun at Springfield Bees!

The Bumbles class have been discussing the meaning behind Christmas during circle time and have been sharing the Nativity story together prompting lots of conversation and questions. We've been busy making lots of fun Christmas crafts too, glitter, paint, sequins, cotton wool and lots of glue have definitely filled our sessions this week! We've explored 'snow' in the tuff tray and even had a go at some Christmas yoga!

To keep in with the festive spirit, our cooking recipe this week was Gingerbread biscuits, with the children getting hands on with measuring and mixing, and then selecting which Christmas cutter they wanted to use.

The Honeys class have been busy making reindeer food this week ready for Santa's reindeer! The children enjoyed crushing and mixing oats and then scooping into bags and decorating. There's going to be some very happy reindeer on Christmas eve!

Discussions this week have included oral hygiene and how we keep our teeth clean with the children showing us how well they can brush teeth at the water table!

***To keep the Pre-School as safe and as ventilated as possible, windows are needed to be kept open during our sessions. With the colder weather now very much upon us, this can make the rooms feel a little fresh. To ensure the children are as comfortable as possible, please can we ask that they wear a sweatshirt/jumper when they attend Pre-School. Thankyou***

***Christmas Party: The children's Christmas party will be held next Wednesday (15th). If your child does not usually attend Pre-School on a Wednesday, please drop your child off at 12.00pm.

There is no need for your child to bring in a packed lunch on this day as a party lunch will be provided by Pre-School. We are asking for a donation of £1 per child to contribute towards the food and drink provided, which we ask to be brought in on the day. Collection time will be from 2.30-3.00pm.

With a very special guest making an appearance and a Moo Music Festive Sing and Dance, we hope the children will have a wonderful afternoon.

We thankyou in advance.***

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you all for our last week of term before the Christmas break...and of course, our party!
