To all of our families celebrating today, we wish you and your loved ones peace, joy, and many blessings on this special day.
Wow - this week has flown by! We’ve made the most of the glorious weather, spending lots of time outdoors riding bikes, climbing on the frames, and enjoying snack picnics together. We have also been learning about and celebrating both Eid and St Patrick’s Day.
The children explored oranges and lemons during circle time, singing along to the nursery rhyme. Although many commented on how sour the lemon was, they were keen to keep trying it again and again! At snack time, the children prepared their own sandwiches using a range of fillings such as cream cheese, jam, and salad. We have also been organising and packing lunches, thinking about which foods are healthy and will give us lots of energy.
Next week our topic will be Easter, and our book of the week will be the Easter story.
We are continually learning and enhancing our knowledge, and it has been a very busy week for the team! Debbie has completed her loose parts course, Hannah has completed her 2-year check guidance course, and Viktoria has completed her safeguarding course. Hannah, Dani, and Gemma have all successfully completed their paediatric first aid training - well done everyone!
Sophie has attended the Nourishing Our Future conference at Anglia Ruskin University on Saturday to further develop knowledge around nutrition, as well as visiting the Childcare and Education Expo in London today, where she attended seminars on Inclusion, The power of connection, and Planning an effective curriculum for every child.
Please could we check if anyone from the Bumbles room has mistakenly taken home a Dragon Hot Wheels truck that was in the interest basket last Friday 13th March.
We break up for the Easter holidays next Thursday 26th March. We will be open for both sessions as normal on this day. We return on Tuesday 14th March due to a staff training day on Monday 13th April.
If you haven’t done so yet, please return your funding form on Monday to ensure funding can be claimed for the Summer term.
Snack contributions for the Summer term have been sent via tapestry and email this week.
