We’ve had a wonderfully busy and imaginative week exploring our topic Fantastic Food and Shopping. The children have thrown themselves into every activity with so much enthusiasm, and it has been lovely to see their creativity shine.
Our story of the week has been Kitchen Disco by Clare Foges, illustrated by Al Murphy. It has been very popular, sparking lots of laughter and lively play as the children joined the fruits on their dancing adventures.
Throughout the week, we’ve used fruits and vegetables in all sorts of exciting ways, including:
The children set up their very own clothing shop using fancy dress outfits, inviting friends to “come and buy” their creations. We’ve also enjoyed:
We welcomed in Sneha Nair this week to talk to us about Henna known as Mehndi, and how body art is used as part of special celebrations. The Bumbles children had the opportunity to choose a design, the popular choices were flowers, hearts and dinosaurs. Thank you Sneha for your time!
End-of-term report summaries will be shared before the Easter break, giving you an overview of your child’s progress and achievements this term.
Following feedback on our Parent survey forms we would like to inform you of our structure on reports/meetings.
We complete termly reports, which are published on Tapestry. We also change children's next steps each term and inform you of these.
