What a great week we’ve all had to end the term, with lots of exploring, investigating, learning and of course, fun!
The Bumbles class have been focused on the story ‘Superworm’ this week. We’ve explored spaghetti worms in the tuff tray, made our own worms using the playdough and have been learning about different insects, some of which the children looked up information on and pictures of using the iPad, retrieving lots of interesting facts to share with one another!
SuperStar sports was lots of fun as always on Tuesday, with the children having to use their colour knowledge to sort cones and find the correct coloured hoops!
Easter was also a focus this week. The children made Easter bunny biscuits during their cooking sessions and enjoyed making some fun Easter chick crafts!
The Honeys class have been working hard this week developing their fine motor skills with lots of threading activities! Talk was still focused on ‘Our World’ during small group sessions, with the children enjoying looking at the globe and identifying the water and land. They’ve enjoyed Easter crafting too and have even been busy planting again, this time, tomato plants!
Moo Music had the children signing, singing and giggling on Thursday too!
This week we also wave goodbye to Alison from the Bumble’s class. Alison is leaving to pursue her career at Broomfield Hospital. We wish her the best of luck in her new ventures.
All the staff at Springfield Bees would like to wish our Pre-School families and friends a very happy Easter! We hope you all enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing you all again after the holidays! Please don’t forgot to fill in your child’s ‘Wow Moments’ over the holidays which were sent home this week. We can’t wait to share all the children’s wonderful achievements on our return!
Pre-School is now closed for the Easter break, returning on Tuesday 19th April.
