It has certainly been a very warm week here at Springfield Bees! We have been keeping cool with lots of water play both indoors and outdoors, and the children especially enjoyed making slime, which felt lovely and refreshing in the heat. Alongside this, we have been enjoying spending time together, building strong relationships and friendships through our shared play and experiences.
On Friday, we celebrated National Cream Tea Day. The children enjoyed a special snack of scones with cream and jam while learning about how this is a traditional afternoon tea treat. We have also been offering frozen yoghurt as a cooling snack option, which has been very popular.
The Honeys children are continuing to transition into the Bumbles room and are really enjoying their regular visits. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing Tapestry updates and confirming your child’s Keyworker for the next academic year.
Please keep hold of the photo slip your child is bringing home today. Our photographer will be uploading the photos to the website within the next week, and we will let you know as soon as they are available to view.
Our topic next week is 'Our wonderful world and holidays' we will be reading the book Sharing a shell by Julia Donaldson.
