Dressing up in traditional Indian clothing

Weekly roundup 23 April 2021

It’s been a lovely sunny week at Pre-School and the children have had lots of outside play. 'Duck, Duck, Goose!', 'The Farmer's in his Den' and 'What's The Time Mr Wolf?' were just a few of the games we have all enjoyed playing together. On Wednesday we welcomed back Farmer Laura with her fantastic Moo Music sessions for the children! On Thursday we dusted off the parachute and took it outside.

The children enjoyed working together as a team to make it rise up and down, taking turns to run underneath. We've had lots of focused group work this week too, cooking, phonics and building structures. Our caterpillars are growing fast and have now started to form into their chrysalises. It won’t be long before we see what emerges!

Friday was a very fun day for everyone! We celebrated St George's Day in the morning making our own St George's flags and in the afternoon, Ayesha and Richard came into Pre-School to talk to the children about Muslim culture and Ramadan. After learning about the meaning of Ramadan, the children were able to try on some traditional clothing and were all gifted with a goodie bag in celebration. A big thank you to Ayesha, Richard and their friends for making the session so interesting and informative.
