We have had a busy week exploring transport and travel, during this topic we have read stories relating to different vehicles, during circle time we discussed how we travel to preschool. A popular activity the children chose to do is to arrange the chairs and make their own Bee bus, they sing the wheels on the bus and other popular nursery rhymes whilst on their adventure.
Bumbles children have been colour matching this week which included an activity and then a treasure hunt around the room.
We have been enjoying playing on our new climbing frame equipment outside, also making their own Jason Pollock inspired collage outside using a variety of materials.
The Honey’s explored transport in the tuff tray through mark marking, whizzing the vehicles along.
We celebrated UNICEF World Children’s Day on Wednesday, the children chose which resources to play with, this included dinosaurs and playdough, they also chose to have a Bee Boogie Bonanza dance session.
Next week our topic is road safety, we will be talking about using zebra crossings, wearing seatbelts, being seen and wearing bright clothes. Together we can help create safer habits for our little ones as they learn about the world around them.
