This week has been filled with curiosity and excitement as we explored our topic of Habitats. The children have been busy creating cosy bug hotels, discovering where different animals live, and expressing their creativity by making animal masks. It’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they shared their ideas and explored the world around them.
💛 Kindness and teamwork have also been a focus. We’ve been modelling our Golden Rules, talking about sharing and taking turns, and using sand timers to help support patience and fairness during play. Alongside this, the children have been developing their cutting skills, showing great concentration and pride as they practised using scissors safely and carefully.
💚 In Bumbles, the children have shown so much joy. They have created hedgehogs, listened to a story about teeth and dental health during circle time, and had lots of sensory fun making slime and playdough. These activities are wonderful opportunities to strengthen both fine and gross motor skills.
💖 We have also focused on emotions, learning that all feelings are okay. The children have been encouraged to recognise and name their emotions, such as “It’s okay to feel sad,” and to offer reassurance and kindness to themselves and others. It’s been heartwarming to see them growing in confidence and empathy each day.
Please do speak to your child's Key Worker regularly, updating them with any information they may need to know.
We are so proud of Sunita, who has now offically qualified as a Early Years Practioner after completing her course over the last 18 months - well done!
We are pleased to announce that Viktoria’s position as Deputy Manager is now permanent.
Next week we will continue with our theme of Habitats and the colour of the week will be Blue 🔵
We will be having a Halloween party on Wednesday 22nd October for all children who attend preschool on that day. The children are welcome to come dressed up on the Wednesday and also throughout the week we will be doing lots of different activities such as pumpkin carving, crafts and games. We can’t wait for some spooky fun! 🎃
